Can I make a movie using AI?

The short answer is no… at least, not completely, for now.

Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing many artistic disciplines and marking a new horizon in visual creativity. In image generation, it has achieved impressive feats, creating hyper-realistic characters and environments or unique styles. Regarding videos, we have witnessed its evolution: from blurry and inconsistent movements, like a hazy dream, to highly realistic slow-motion scenes with characters and camera movements that emulate real life. Even lip synchronization is quite advanced.

However, one of AI’s biggest challenges is consistency in characters. In a movie or cartoon, characters must remain uniform throughout the production. For example, nobody likes it when Hollywood releases a sequel and changes the main actor, or when in traditional hand-drawn animation, the designs of the characters vary slightly from one scene to another. These kinds of inconsistencies can stand out, especially when different animation studios handle episodes of the same series, as happened with Dragon Ball Z.

While AI can be a powerful tool for enhancing scripts, it currently lacks the ability to deliver deep or truly creative storylines. These and other limitations will evolve rapidly, but for now, if you want quality results, it’s best to rely on a professional team.
